My review of the hotel Maison Malesherbes in Paris
Located in the heart of the 8th arrondissement, this hotel has an ideal location to visit the Champs-Elysées, the Palais Garnier, the Place de la Madeleine and the Saint-Lazarre – Hausmann district
where the majority of the department stores are located (Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, Citadium etc…). Close to many metro and RER lines, it is also conveniently located for getting around in Paris.
The Maison Malesherbes is a beautiful 19th century bourgeois mansion, composed of 23 rooms and a suite. It overlooks the Church of Saint-Augustin and as a result, some of its rooms offer a magnificent view over this sumptuous 19th century church. The romantic-bohemian style decoration is very nice and gives this hotel a cosy atmosphere. This impression is reinforced by the small size of this establishment (looking like a family business) and by the availability and friendliness of its staff.
The rooms are of a good size (between 16 and 19 m2 for double rooms) and have quality bedding. Some of them have a balcony.
The bathrooms are beautifully decorated. The hotel has a bar located in the lobby and a breakfast room located in a nice cellar. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and of good quality.
A superb performance for Paris. A quiet area, a very nice hotel with neat decor, a lovely welcome from the staff.
This is a nice address that I recommend! A big thank you to the Buzzandgo.com team for finding us this little marvel.
